I had wanted a 5 string bass to start with, but couldn't afford it. I wanted it b/c I_learned it has a "deeper" set of notes. I like those. However, I have a 4 string Squire by Fender. I was taking lessons from an instructor, but after only about 6 weeks I had to quit. I ran out of funds. I only had one, 30 min class with him once a week. That was All I could afford. But since there are Plenty of bass videos on YouTube, I'll just use those instead. My interest in learning the bass, has taken a step Back, & sits in my room doing nothing. I haven't practiced Anything in a long time. I know my musical alphabet but I have to start All over again. I think watching your video may be what I needed to "peak" my interest again. My motivation to learn was buried for a Long while.
