This is one of the most important techniques you can use playing fingerstyle guitar.
It does the same thing as “reverb.” Basically, it masks the silence between 2 melody notes, making everything feel much more relaxed, spacious and lyrical.
There are 2 ideas here in the video…
The first idea is that you use different strings for melodies, allowing notes to ring over each other.
After that, you’ll see how you can use also simple harmonics to find cross string solutions for melodies.
