  3. Learned it in 3 hours, if I didn't go here I wouldn't have learned it as fast. It's pretty hard to memorize the steps for a beginner! Thank you, Marty.

  14. I just watched a video of the 3 Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarists teaching this song.

    Can't remember his name, but the guy that does the slide tunes his B-string to G, and his E-string to D. He plays both the G and B string for that unique "drawl" sound, as he put it.

    He also slides some kind of cork (I think he said) piece under the strings on the first fret, to raise the strings away from the fretboard. He used to use a screwdriver in the old days, but stopped because it would tear up his fretboard.

    Then, when they get to the soloing section at the end, he takes that cork piece out and basically plays some drop D power chords while the other two guys rip those solos.
