Gospel Blues Guitar Lesson - (No Accompaniment Needed) - Blues Guitar Tutorial - EP248

In this week’s blues guitar lesson, you’ll learn how to play a gospel blues style stand-alone composition that works on acoustic or electric guitar. This is in the style of Howard Carroll (Dixie Humingbirds) and Lonnie Johnson.

  1. Once again Brian, Thank you! I always find things in your lessons that enrich my playing to become the type of player I envision. Sometimes I think there's not enough appreciation for these older styles that we treasure. At some point I'd like to share and teach it like you.

  7. AMEN BROTHER BRIAN! YES LAWD!!!

  8. I decided I had to drop another note and thank you once again for 'the how' of you inhabiting your lessons. This is another really fun composition, full of different influences that sound as one, while still providing variety and flavour in all the right places. So sweet. I also want to thank you for consistent reminders about chord mapping and showing where notes are pulled from and the gift the guitar is in making things transferable. From what I can see and hear, you must appeal to a large, dynamic bunch of players. Thank you for all of it, Brian. Musically, Sue

  9. Oh man to bad I’m heading into work got me wanting to play this now!

  10. Very sweet. Active melody is the best £50 I spend every year without a doubt

  18. Definitely one of you're best playing/lessons for a long time. Not that the others are bad, but this one is on another level.
