  1. I play guitar and my name is Kaylee

  2. The Sick Horse Ranch

This seems like an obvious first step but nobody told me and I went straight into trying to play songs from beginning to end. The frustration has kept me from getting very far at all. Thank you for the series sir!

  3. What made me to pickup the guitar? It's music first of all and guitar itself definitely.

  4. Excellent video.
This is actually something a new-guitar enthusiast needs to watch. Awesome tips.

  5. This channel just keeps on giving. Keep up the good work, i love these kind of videos.

  6. Thank you. Great advice! I’ve been playing for about a month and I learned the G Major chord using my 1st, 2nd and 3rd fingers and I learned the E Minor using the 1st and 2nd fingers. Should I learn both techniques?

  7. Great tips! Been playing guitar for a few years and even I learn't something, especially when it comes to playing new chords that I haven't come across before. That muscle memory can still take a while to sink in for new chords. Or maybe it just because i'm old and don't learn that quick anymore!

  8. Hi, I watched your absolute beginner video and have been practicing the same things for about 2 months. Can you link me the next step video? I couldn't find it

  9. These are excellent tips for learning. This was my frustration with not progressing in my skills, my expectation was not in tuned with my ability. I wanted to be able to play something that sounded good without mistakes, but because I wasn't putting in the time, muscle memory, I wasn't developing fast enough and got frustrated.
I'm going to make this my new year resolution, to put in the time, and make a real effort to get past the beginner stage.
Thank you for this video… all the best for the new year.
