  2. Frankly, anybody playing a few years can pick Pettys chords out…its his unusual rhythms that make him so unique…and unfortunately you did not nail it in this lesson. You version was a bit too country.

  3. Great stuff Marty, I use your tutorials in my own teaching. Someone may have already mentioned this, sorry in advance, but I'm pretty sure it's an E7.

  4. Everything you identified as a measure is actually two measures. The song is like 244bpm.

  5. Dedicate a lesson to the solos!!!!!

  6. Love all your tutorials, Marty. Your acoustic arrangements of all these songs are inspired.

  7. This song has been stuck in my head for like 3 weeks. Thanks for the post. Gonna try to learn it.

  8. Marty, you are the best man!!!

  14. R.I.P Tom Petty

  15. Marty I'm a big fan of your lessons, it's always amazing that you're able to memorize all these chord progressions for each song! Nicely done!

  16. Thank you for this lesson. Great song! Rest in Peace, Tom!

  17. Nice insight into this song. We lost Tom this week so I have been researching his songs. I'd like to work out a version of Louisiana Rain from Damn the Torpedoes. Any thoughts?

  18. 14 year old classic rock expert

Tom Petty may have left the world but his music will live on inside of each and every one of us, and let each and every song we hear by him go through us and haunt our lonely hearts, in a good way, may he rest in peace

  19. Being able to only give this one LIKE is criminal. Thanks for this one!
