Some of you may have seen the video I released of a performance of Solfeggietto by C.P.E Bach. That was the end of a 12 day practice diary I made on the Talkingbass Facebook page. Every day I live streamed my learning, arranging and practice of the piece for bass guitar.

In this lesson I’ll work through the first few bars of Solfeggietto and provide some tips on learning this and other classical pieces on bass. We’ll be looking at both right and left hand technique, memorizing long solo pieces and how we can create a physical roadmap.

    Thanks Mark

  5. You should do a video on how bass pedals work
I know nothing about them and cant seem to find a good vid on youtube

  6. This is fantastic Mark. The first time I've made headway in learning a classical piece. The combination of your lead video, the diaries and tab make all the difference for a muppet like me. If I succeed in getting to the end I'll be looking for more, and be willing to pay.

  7. NOICE! What are you using for compression? Looks like an Ibanez SR, but what kind of pups are those!?!?!?

  8. Very cool

  9. Hi mark could you please do a gospel bass lick

  10. Please do an Amazing Grace lesson, everyone would love that!!

  11. Molnár András Sándor

    24 fret guitar only?

  14. YES! About six or eight weeks ago, I told myself I needed to learn to play something new, out of my comfort zone. I'm not a big jazz enthusiast, but I like classical. started to teach myself Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. I checked my email this evening, and what to my wondering eyes did appear? with this totally awesome arrangement! Thank you thank you thank you! Lewd wig will have to wait a bit.

  15. lead singers are snakes

  16. Could you do a video about proper pick technique? There's so much conflicting stuff out there, and I don't wanna develop bad habits or get some kind of injury.

  17. Awesome, I love heavy metal and classical. The first classical piece I learned was Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
