  1. The connection between Irish 'folk' and Country music has already been intrinsically made: you would not have Country, Country & Western, Rock (including Southern Rock), Rock & Roll, Rockabilly, and even heavy metal and pop, without the British folk music of the Scottish, Irish, English and Welsh migrants to the New World. The Blues was also heavily influenced by the music of the Scots-Irish who settled in huge numbers in the US Colonies.

The blues particularly influenced rock, with its minor 3rds and added 7th notes, fused with country progressions.

  7. Great lesson a lot of great licks to learn here. I don't even like Skynyrd either but its a good one to know just the same. I have already learned a few from this instructor he has helped me understand a few things about chords and licks. Very helpful indeed.

What are all these terrible links you have on your website directing people to other guitar fads that ask for X amount of money for lessons?

I have received no email for signing up to your VIP section.

  15. This is AWESOME!!! Like others before me have said, I love the fact that we get right to learning. Thank you so much. I just want to point out that you made the comment about mixing folk Irish music with country, but country/bluegrass music comes straight from Ireland. You can put bluegrass right next to Irish folk and you'll see what I mean.
